Day Skipper Shorebased Course (DSS)

   A 10 day classroom course to teach the knowledge necessary to successfully attempt the Day Skipper practical course.

Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased Course (CSY)

  A 10 day classroom course to teach the knowledge necessary to successfully attempt the Coastal Skipper practical course.

Short Range Radio Course and Examination (VHF)

   A 1 day course and examination designed to teach students the skills necessary to operate a VHF DSC Radio.

Sea Survival Course (SSC)

   A 1 day course designed to give an understanding of how to use the safety equipment carried on small vessels including a practical session in launching and boarding a liferaft.

Diesel Engine Course (DES)

   A 1 day course designed to give an awareness of the main systems of a marine diesel engine and the ability to take simple measures to prevent a mechanical breakdown at sea and rectify defects which do not require workshop support.

First Aid Course (FAC)

  A 1 day course designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven.
